Paul Ching and Friends: Home for the Holidays

The Shull Center is proud to welcome Sac City native Paul Ching back home to open the 2026 Holiday Series. A professional violinist with the Des Moines Symphony and an award-winning composer, Paul has built a career performing and creating music that bridges classical tradition with cinematic expression.

Joined by a talented group of musical friends and collaborators, Paul presents an engaging evening featuring a musical variety show with five unique “sessions”: a classical session, a pop and rock session, a traditional folk session, a jazz session, and a country fiddle session. Together, they create a dynamic performance that showcases exceptional musicianship while celebrating both the season and Paul’s return to the community where his musical journey began.

Opening the Holiday Series, this performance sets the stage for the season ahead by combining world-class artistry, hometown pride, and the spirit of the holidays in one memorable evening.
